Kiyuyu is a long pale beach on the north of Pemba, backed by a wall of coastal forest. The water runs from white sand into clear turquoise, and the reef shows dark beneath the surface. A dhow lies just off the trees.
Come to swim, walk the empty sand, and sit in the shade. The day is the beach itself.
